The Massachusetts Correctional Institution, Framingham, houses females sentenced to imprisonment, awaiting trial, or committed by the courts for alcohol or substance abuse treatment (MGLA c 125, s 16; c 123, s 35). The superintendent is responsible for administering the facility. Memorandums to inmates are created and distributed by the superintendent to resolve inmate grievances and conflicts with facility officers or to confirm disciplinary actions to be taken.
